To ensure the success of graduate students in both the academic and professional setting there is a need to focus on the acquisition of professional interaction skills. Counseling graduate programs hold the responsibility of demonstrating the skills expected within the field as well as providing for individual student development. This session will present information on the socialization of students and will provide techniques that can be integrated into a graduate program to encourage the professional development of students.
