It is imperative that counselors have the awareness, knowledge, and skills to work effectively within and across varying racial, ethnic, and cultural groups. This session will use videos, case vignettes, and discussion to provide participants with an overview of racial identity development models, Multicultural counseling competencies, and best practices for developing counselor trainees to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Participants will also receive a diversity toolkit full of resources.
