Limited school counseling research exists that examines the lived experiences of school counselor advocates at the state or national level. Facilitators will share results from a current qualitative research project that explores the narratives of ASCA School Counselor of the Year Finalists and their participation in national legislative advocacy efforts. This session will also allow participants to share pedagogical activities for school counseling training programs that incorporate advocacy-oriented activities and how programs align curriculum to meet the CACREP advocacy standards.
